The  Sub-Sector Lead of Power Networks(Transmission & Substation Operations) is the leader for the Eastern UnitedStates  for this organization.



*Please note that this role can be remote and can sit anywhere within the contiguous USA*



Responsiblefor:

  • Broad knowledge of Power Networks and related markets in the US
  • Leadership in global and regional Power Networks strategy development and implementation in collaboration with the Power Sector Leadership Team
  • Leadership and oversight of initiative implementation
  • Pursuit of regional and cross-sector opportunities
  • Ensure the full capability of Worley is applied to opportunities across all five phases of the asset life.
  • Manage the customer relationship process
  • Coordination of resources, information exchange, best practices, lessons learned across the US power networks business and with Power Networks locations around the globe
  • Interface and cooperation with other sub-sectors and initiatives


SpecificAccountabilities

Therole of the Sub-Sector Lead of Power Networks (Transmission &Substation Operations) is:


Strategyand New Business (60 to 70%% of time expected to be dedicated)


Responsiblefor: 
            

  • Identifying trends and shifts at the Power Network (our customers customers), customer and industry (ourselves and our competitors) level;
  • Collaboration with the Global Power Networks Sub-Sector Director in the development and implementation of global and regional strategy.
  • Supporting and stewarding the implementation of these strategies within the Power sector businesses and throughout the region.
  • Coordinate growth strategy within US to optimize business results for revenues and gross margin at Worley.
  • Lead the efforts to broaden the customer base of Power Networks
  • Lead the activities to broaden the capability platform of Power Networks 


Providesupport for development of new business by:

  • Identifying and / or participating in the selection of specific locations where we should and can establish sector capability consistent with sector strategy and helping the location or region to do so. 
  • Leverage the full Power Networks capability across all five phases of the asset life-cycle.
  • Collaboration with other sub-sectors and sectors to identify, pursue and capture cross-sector opportunities.
  • Identifying and/or participating in the selection of, due diligence on and integration of sector specific acquisitions,
  • Identifying and developing unique process and technological capabilities targeted to the needs of the Power sector customers.
  • Provide direction, establish priorities, and set KPIs for business development personnel.


 Supportingglobal power networks business development initiatives by:

  • Lead business development for major opportunities through the identification of opportunities, development of the strategy necessary to win and by assisting with the preparation of major (including pan-region or pan-sector) proposals; and coordinating the sector groups involved in multi-region bids, including selection of the execution location(s) in conjunction with the regional management. 
  • Ensuring that Worley US capabilities in Power Networks is fully leveraged in the delivery of power networks service offerings to the customers in the region.


Operational (30-40%% time expected to be dedicated)


Responsiblefor:

  • Ensuring that Worley global capability is fully harnessed and leveraged in the delivery of power networks services for the customers in the region.
  • Ensuring (by advocating/lobbying) that sufficient funding mechanisms are in place to support the strategic implementation of power networks strategy through the FY business plan. 
  • Revenue and gross margin results for Power Networks projects
  • Project quality and customer satisfaction
  • Employee satisfaction and retention


Delivering operationalsupport by:

  • Maintaining a knowledge of technology advancements in the sector;
  • Convening the learning community for the sector and encouraging the development of new knowledge through dialogue and interchange of ideas and identification of new technologies/technical solutions;
  • Providing technical support, including support for technical reviews when the expertise is not available in the US through virtual global teams;
  • Finding sector specific personnel for projects/assignments where there is no existing capability in the execution location; and
  • Supporting the location and regional management involved in the execution of multi-location projects.

EssentialSkills/Experience

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. 
  • Fluent in English-oral andwritten
  • Aproven track record in the leadership of the power networks sector with aminimum of 15 years experience
  • Abilityto assemble, motivate, and manage effective project delivery teams. 
  • Abilityto attract and maintain top technical talent to Worley based on an establishednetwork and reputation in the industry.
  • Atleast 5 years in business development in the US ; broad knowledge of the market;established relationship and reputation with key utility customers in the USEast region.
  • P&L responsibility
  • Demonstrable commitment to HSE management


Education



Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 15 years industry experience
