It is the product and service-led arm of BP, made up of three businesses. Petrochemicals is one of them and includes 12 manufacturing facilities across 9 countries.We manufacture and market Paraxylene (PX), Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Acetic Acid using industry-leading proprietary BP technology. These products are used by our customers to make essential consumer products such as food packaging, textiles and building materials.
We continue developing new technologies to advance low carbon future. To mention just a few of them:• Our PTAIR technology enables PTA production at about 30% lower carbon footprint than the average European PTA production• Our new enhanced recycling technology, BP Infinia, enables currently unrecyclable PET plastic waste to be diverted from landfill or incineration and instead transformed back into new, virgin-quality feedstocks.
Petrochemicals Finance is pleased to offer an opportunity in its central Planning, Performance and Reporting Team for a finance professional to work closely with our Acetyls, Aromatics and Licensing businesses in Europe, US and Asia.

As part of the team you will play a key role in managing financial and non-financial MI reporting and performance management processes for the entire Petrochemicals business, including:• monthly reporting, forecasts and performance reviews• assuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial and non-financial information• analysing financial and non-financial MI, synthesising it with the business insights to produce a compelling story of what is driving the business performance to support the leadership team in effective decision-making

• Delivering month-end and quarter-end reporting, financial forecasting, analysis and insights and other financial performance activities for Petchems, using sound technical capabilities to ensure the business transactions and results are recorded, reported and forecasted with integrity, in a timely manner and in conformance with Group policies and standards• Leading the Non-Financial MI reporting for Petchems, consolidating operational metrics into reports and providing commentary• Acting as an expert user of the SAP MI system • Engaging with the MI Modernisation team to move routine reports to Datalake (Tableau enabled) to increase reporting process efficiency and free up time for analysis
KEY SKILLS• Degree or equivalent with previous experience in finance ideal • Professional qualification desirable but not essential (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting processes• Strong Excel skills with the ability to extract, process and analyse large amounts of data from SAP systems• Excellent problem-solving skills and an aptitude for analysis to be able to extract the business insights from the numbers
